In February 2025, I tried on the outfit I wore yesterday. The photo on the right shows how the outfit fit then- versus the two on the left that show the fit as of yesterday.

The outfit is looser in the photos on the left, and though I notice the changes in my weight, I am not sure it is noticeable by others.
I had only one errand yesterday morning and left the house at 7:30 a.m. and returned around 9:00 a.m.
Video below shot just as I was leaving the house.
Outfit elements:
- Coco Urban Dress Amazon 2019
- Double Breasted Brown Sweater 2024 Shop Research
- Chocolate Saks 5th Ave Pumps
None of the elements of the outfit are available, however I post to show progress with my diet or styles I choose to wear out.
What else is going on in my life? Lots, that said, things I am focused on include:
- Adding to my savings accounts. Though I move $725 to savings monthly, last month I moved an additional $1000 each to my American Express and CIT high yield savings accounts.
- Trying to find time to start the education courses required to renew my Real Estate license in April 2026.
- Always looking to generate more income with online marketing. My software consultancy? Too many legal issues I do not want to incur without the LLC. At this time, I would rather focus on marketing. Continue to receive calls about outsourcing. At this time, I am not taking on new software development projects or clients, nor do I wish to be a target for frivolous law suits.
- Always looking for more time in the day.

Why post about style and diets? I have a great many interests and these are two that I have always addressed. I like reading about what others are doing insofar as style or their progress with diets. The fact that I am losing weight makes me all the happier to address these issues and I hope it garners the same curiosity I have about others.

I have been losing weight on a consistent basis, mostly by watching what I eat, not eating late into the evening, and getting lots of exercise.
Below some of my favorite meals, including a new Oven Baked Chicken Breast that I absolutely love. I use a convection oven and have found that pounding the poultry before baking as the recipe suggests, ensures the juiciest version of the chicken.

The weight loss has enabled me to start wearing older pieces and I am very
pleased with my efforts to lose the weight. That said, sometimes I want an old
favorite, like apple pie, as was the case on Monday, October 13, 2025.

With the weight loss, I have added new items to my wardrobe. I post about the outfits I wear when taking care of the many issues I need to handle and how I incorporate the new pieces.
On Friday, October 17, 2025, I had several errands to run and I chose a
brown plaid pencil skirt (Walmart find), cashmere polo collar camel sweater,
thin brown belt, and my Saks 5th chocolate pumps.

A new addition to my closet is the inexpensive brown plaid pencil skirt I
purchased from Walmart online (no longer available). I like the pattern on the
skirt and owned a longer version that works great with boots that I
purchased in the mid to late 80s. Both skirts are shown below.

Also shown above, the new blouse I purchased from Francesca's. I Googled in search of a chocolate v-neck tie blouse and they had the best choice. I really like the blouse, however wish I had purchased the medium rather than the large. The blouse works great with black so I have a lot of options.
Below, a short video of both the try on for the new blouse and the outfit I
wore on Friday, October 17, 2025.

I had a late start to my day, Friday, October 10, 2025. I only had a couple of things to take care of, however, unforeseen delays prevented an early start. And then, I was not happy with the outfit, however, I did not change.

Ever have one of those days? The good news, I am making real progress with
my diet. Below, a photo taken August 12, 2024 of me in the brown cashmere
sweater I wore Friday, October 10, 2025. Notice the top three buttons of the sweater in
each photo.

I am very pleased with how my clothes are fitting these days, that said, in
the video (below) and the photos (above) I do not have on the body shaper I later donned- before leaving the house. I
checked everything from the back, and noticed an issue. My bottom is a little
too flat and unshapely, the reason I put on the shaper.
Outfit elements:
- Hybrid & Company Ponte Pencil Skirt (Nude) Amazon 2025
- Brown Cashmere Sweater, research for my shop 2024
- Tan Short Sleeve Rayon Blouse (Westport Ltd. 1989 or so)
- Saks Fifth Ave Chocolate Suede Pumps (2024)

It is the time of year when Amazon offers Prime Big Deal Days. I went through some of the deals and found many I would like to pick up- including these...

My list includes:

DJI Mini 4K Drone

Cosori 9-in-1 TurboBlaze Air Fryer 6 Qt

McCook® Knife Sets

Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine BES870X

Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro)
I wanted to put everything in the cart. I really need a new knife set.

I decided to wear my Kate Kasin green plaid pencil skirt on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The weather was in the 60s and I had several errands to run.
I paired the skirt with an Ann Taylor tie blouse and blue suede
slingbacks.
Though it was too warm for any additional pairings, the photos below
show some of the options I tried with the basic outfit.
In September 2020, I ordered three items from Ann Taylor. At the time, they were having a great sale and I was lucky to get the three items for just under $54 (including tax).
I was also lucky, in that two of the items can be worn with the new
Kate Kasin green plaid pencil skirt I purchased in August of this year.
Below, a short video of the outfit of the day and some of the other
pairings.
Outfit of the day components and try ons.
- Ann Taylor Lush Lagoon Tie Blouse September 2020
- Kate Kasin Green Plaid Pencil Skirt Amazon August 2025
- Dark Blue Suede Slingbacks - Amazon September 15, 2019
- Dark Blue Wool Blazer - Casual Corner 1991 or so (own this blazer in black, teal, and the dark blue shown).
- Dark Green Wool Blazer - Gifted 1996.
- Navy Knit Vest (High School)
- Long Green Sweater Jacket (borrowed)
Note, none of the items are currently available through the retailers listed.
Though the skirt was not that expensive, it is lined. The manufacturer suggests it can be washed, however, I think I will have it dry cleaned. I am very pleased with the skirt and hope to get a lot of use out of it.
