Favorite Mexican Entrées

It has been a hot "August" and I have made it hotter with some of my favorite Mexican entrées.

Sunday before last [August 14, 2016], I made enchiladas for lunch/dinner and had the same as leftovers the following Monday and Tuesday.

Today for lunch, I decided to use the leftover flour tortillas to make fajitas. Note: The flour tortillas worked with the enchilada dish however I think I meant to get "soft white corn tortillas" for that dish.

Short video showing how I put together my lunch [fajitas] today [two attempts]:

I have been up to other things, too:

  • Saturday's Olympic coverage including the Women's Triathlon.
  • Cincinnati Tennis Open, US Open [Tennis] starts next week.
  • Last night, the latest episode of "Power" on STARZ
  • Watching Bei Bei's [National Zoo's Baby Panda] Birthday Celebrations [August 22nd is his birthday, he is one year old today].

HDMI Display Support

Recently, I purchased an HDMI adaptor to allow output from my RCA Windows 10 Tablet/PC to a High Definition [HD] Television.

The following illustration shows some of the specs of the RCA Windows 10 Tablet/PC. Note the mini HDMI output bullet amongst the features.

The following is a demonstration video using the HDMI adaptor with the Windows 10 Tablet/PC and an HD Television.

Yes, I am still trying to come up-to-speed insofar as video production. I am thinking I need a camera which provides robust audio/sound quality and professional video editing software.

I currently own Windows Movie Maker and [Apple's] iMovie. iMove in particular- a nice package, however a bit dated in that I have the version for Mac OSX 10.4. I do not use either package for the videos on this blog, instead relying on my tripod, camera and me... Re-shoot as many times as needed.

I have read good things about Final Cut Pro X, so when I start upgrading my equipment and software that is the package I will purchase. What do you use?

Hot...

We are having a heat wave-- and all I want to do is stay in. I have caught a lot of television programming over the last couple of days.

Included in my viewing:

  • Friday night, caught the 2002 version of "The Count of Monte Cristo"
  • Tonight [Saturday], HBO is airing "Brooklyn" at 8:00.
  • Tomorrow night [Sunday], the latest episode of "Power" at 9:00-- Join STARZ Free Trial.
  • NBC and their affiliates' coverage of the 2016 Olympics.
  • Investigate Television & the "Snapped" series

A couple of weeks ago, I "fixed" an issue with a feed on the WiredPages Home page which has been in disrepair for over a year.

No, I have no plans to do more at this time. As I have explained in the past, because of an issue with how I secure my widgets/applications I will not update the applications until I can move the IP. I am not sure when this will happen. This recent "fix" only because it did not have the security feature I incorporate in most of the other widgets I developed for WiredPages.

BTW: Every so often I get requests to have links included on WiredPages. Because I am not maintaining that area [wiredpages.qisoftware.com sub-domain] of the qisoftware.com site-- I simply note the requests however make no updates.

Thank you for your interest in WiredPages. I would love to get started with the many changes and fixes I want to make. Unfortunately legal issues and the security of my code prevents this at this time. I plan to make the site more mobile friendly and make some changes to how I incorporate Java Applets.

Lately, I have been working a couple projects, however the heat and other health related issues have me a little slow about getting things done. I hope to be up to speed by early next week.

Vertigo...

Since my last post, I celebrated a birthday [actually I have posted since my birthday, this morning's activity caused a rethink on what I should have posted]. I was actually not feeling well on my birthday [bad case of vertigo], so these photos were taken the following week.

A month ago, I contacted a local cosmetic surgery center to inquire about removal of hearing implants. The cost-- $1395 each. I really need to have this done with a lawyer present, so I will have to hold off for now, however I believe part of my vertigo issues are being caused by the devices.

I have found ice greatly degrades the performance of each device. If you too have experienced vertigo caused by hearing devices-- you may want to try this solution or contact a laser surgeon.

Hearing implants are very popular these days. They are placed on the nerve in the inner ear-- and certain frequencies can reek havoc with their operation. Mine were implanted without my knowledge-- and I need a lawyer to insure legals issues are not swept aside.

Over the years, my mother has also experienced vertigo-- to the point of being taken to the hospital [BWMC].

I am hoping that alternately freezing and then allowing the device to defrost will eventually render all of the transistors dead. I have had a lot of success since the week of my birthday degrading the functionality of the hearing devices.

Abstract noise provided, the week of my birthday local authorities were contacted about issues some with hearing devices were experiencing. I am told there is a deaf person in my area. If you have a HAM radio you can listen in to some of the activity. I am not going to provide my earpiece tune in frequency, however many have it.

I have not posted about things like this in awhile. I think, some using the consoles in this area have no idea how bad this feels and I want there to be no misunderstanding about what these non-professionals are doing. Too many without even a high school education think this is a game. It is not.
